On 25th May 2018 new regulations on how companies handle your data comes into force (GDPR). GDPR are a set of rules that companies must adhere to when they handle personal data.
What Data Do We Collect And What Do We Do With This Data:
Cables2u Ltd collect you personal data to enable us to offer you an easy to use account experience, this means you can log back into your account at anytime by simply using your password and email address, you do not need to enter your name and address each time you purchase.
When you register for an account or buy from Cables2u Ltd we collect your personal details, this includes Business Name, Personal Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address and any Delivery Names and Addresses (if they are different), encrypted details of your password, details of your order and any special delivery instructions you leave, we also collect your ISP address. We keep this information for a minimum of 7 years.
Cables2u Ltd will pass details of your order, your name & address, email address and phone number to our payment partners Paypal, SagePay and Allied Irish bank. This is required to process your online payment.We also pass you name and address to our couriers Royal Mail and DPD Local.
Cables2u Ltd do not share or sell your data to third parties.
Cables2u Ltd do not hold your credit/debit card details.
Cables2u Ltd keep details of your orders which include Business Name, Personal Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address and any Delivery Names and Addresses (if they are different) and details of your order and any special delivery instructions you leave; for a minimum of 7 years. We are required to do this for VAT purposes, a VAT invoice is raised for each purchase and thus the details are kept to comply with UK VAT legislation.
Mailing Lists & Contacting You:
Cables2u Ltd do not send unsolicited emails or marketing emails. We do send emails to update you on the progress of your order, this is required by UK law. We may also contact you via telephone or email if we have a query regarding your order.
