With this USB SWITCH it is possible to use one USB device on a maximum of four computers. For example a printer or scanner has to be shared in a office. By pushing one of the buttons the computer will be selected. Be aware that the switch will not function on USB devices that need continues contact to a computer.
Of course this switch can also be used the other way around. Operate more devices on one computer. This is only possible for device that not need a continues contact with a computer like many printers, scanners, camera, joystick and a basis station for a PDA or MP3players/IPOD.

The device uses USB A to output to a printer and has four usb B inputs from the four connected pc's. This means to connect four pc's to one printer you would require four usb A to B cables to connect from the pc to the switch box and a relivant cable to go from the switch box to your printer.
