We have been successful in gaining Approved Trader status with our local council. Tameside Council Trading Standards Department audited our business; this included writing to a number of our customers, reviewing our trading practices, checking our VAT and company registration details, visiting our staff and premises, viewing our insurance details and generally ensuring we adhere to the spirit and not just the letter of the law.
The whole process to gain Trading Standards approval took over 6 months.
